About the Role

As a software engineer, you will be a key part of a team that strives for engineering excellence. You will be using the latest trends in technology to bring digital services to the next billion people. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining key features of our mobile, cloud and IoT applications in an agile environment, focussing on delivering high quality software.

Applicants living in Northern Ireland will be given preference as we hope to return to our office in Belfast in the future. However, remote applicants from any compatible time zone will be considered as we will all be working remotely for the time being.

Who are you?

• You are a software engineer with exposure to the full stack, with approximately two years of experience.
• You have experience of Python and may have exposure to front end frameworks such as React and React Native.
• You are ideally familiar with cloud technologies, such as Microsoft Azure.
• You appreciate the benefits of automation for continuous integration, quality assurance, and deployment.
• You are familiar with defining and developing HTTP based APIs and have an understanding of designing them for performance and security.
• You understand the importance of delighting users by making sure your products are stable, performant, secure, and supportable.
• You have an excellent ability to learn and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues and customers.
• You may have experience in collaborating across multiple geographical locations.
• You have a strong sense of ownership and drive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline. Ideally with a 2:1 or higher, or else with demonstrable experience in delivering projects.
