Front End JavaScript Developer

As part of a scale-up company, your role will encompass the entire software development life-cycle, including requirements capture, prototyping, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.

The role includes development, support, maintenance and monitoring of the JavaScript web client. There will be opportunities to research and develop solutions using new technologies, languages and design patterns - We're looking for someone who won't be afraid to suggest how our product can be improved! You'll be confident in your abilities to shape a platform with hundreds-of-thousands of users.

You'll become an integral member of the web team, which owns and shapes the webclient, ensuring it is on a level playing field with our mobile clients.

About You

You're an enthusiastic individual with 3+ years Front End Web Development and strong JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3. Naturally, you love to code!

The Role

Day to day you'll be responsible for development in HTML5/CSS/JS/Node.js and will work as part of a team, understanding requirements from different teams including UX, Creative and Backend colleagues.

Requirements

• A mastery of JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 development, writing clean, robust, well-structured, object-oriented code.
• An expert in a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular, React, Vue. 
• Proficient with modern CSS such as Flexbox, CSSGrid or Cross browser compatibility.
• An ongoing interest in staying up-to-date with the evolution of the web platform (ES6+, Web Components, etc).
• Experienced in designing and developing for responsive / mobile platforms.

An understanding of REST based API design and development would be a bonus along with a familiarity with Agile / Scrum development practices.
