Urban Scale Interventions is a young, creative start-up studio with exciting creative projects in the fields of design, mental health, and cultural interventions. We use methods of design thinking, taking a holistic and challenge-led approach to tackling issues in the places we live, work, and play.
One of the studio’s key disciplines is Tech for Social Good which focuses on the development of digital platforms and products that look to make a social impact through our experience of identifying challenges within practise and government.
We are an energetic and passionate multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, researchers, urbanists, and strategists that are working on some of Northern Ireland's most exciting creative projects. All of our work is grounded in real insight by working closely with community groups and stakeholders through on the ground engagement and co-design techniques.
The project and role
The studio is working on an exciting tool that has the ability to improve the way the government aligns its policy, measurements and impact outcomes within their project pipeline and in relation to their departmental spends. With strong interest from public sector and third sector organisations alongside international scale potential, USI are looking for an exciting candidate to carve out a specialism in this area of work within the team that will be supported through the growth of the studio.
This is a chance for a developer to help shape a young start up and its R&D pipeline to develop commercially viable products alongside a team of Branding, Software, UX, Strategists and the Studio Partners. The role is for someone with self-confidence to come with a solution first mentality and work in a diverse team with exposure to all elements of the product's growth process.
