Software Developer

We have an exciting opportunity for a mid-senior level developer to work within our growing and fast paced Development / IT team.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

The software development team support the business, writing services and applications to help improve business process and integrate with third parties to exchange data.

As a software developer within the group you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects with a team that has an open mind to technologies and have a voice in the direction of the applications that are written.  You will be fully involved in the software development cycle and work closely with all the teams across the company as we scope out new projects and design, develop and deploy our solutions.

Our core development environment is focused around Microsoft Visual Studio, using C# with the latest .Net Core technologies to write our applications.  To ensure success as a C# developer you will be able to develop within a full-stack environment as well as maintain current applications and services.

Duties to include:

• Create in house solutions to improve business processes.
• Report and resolve issues.
• Identify and handle technical risks and issues.
• Work within a team alongside other developers.
• Participate in project meetings with management and other team members.

Essential Criteria:

• Strong proficiency in C# and creating applications.
• Understanding of the full software life cycle.
• Strong knowledge of OOP concepts.
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of SQL Server.
• Ability to write clean, understandable and maintainable code.
• Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with Blazor Server Applications.
• Knowledge of data formats such as Json, XML & CSV.
• Experience with Restful API’s and security.
